It features lions mask handles to the sides, a hairy paw feet and is surmounted by an urn. This is the earlier design with a timber carcass mounted with brass. The detailing is sharp and finely executed and the clock has a very good, clean and bright finish. The dial is cream enamel on copper with a gilt brass centre and is complete with original blued steel hands. The Japy Freres French movement is of the highest quality and has the clockmakers 'Grand Medaille D'Honour' mark...
